Lae picked up a win at Rainforest Park, bumping off the Port Moresby Wigmen, 6-4. Pitcher Valentin Moreau was a major reason the Kumuls emerged victorious. Moreau went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 13. His record improves to 7-4. The win gives Lae a season record of 50-32.

The Kumuls took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Jon Hunt banged a two-out single. Lae had been trailing 1-0, but Hunt hit a 0-1 curveball from Micah Kuper for a 2-run single.

Moreau called the triumph "a good team win."
