The Tafuna Clippers picked up a win at Tony Solaita Baseball Field, knocking off the Papeete Black Pearls, 5-3. On the mound for Tafuna was right-hander Severo Vakaloloma, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Polynesia League-leading Clippers are 55-32.

The Clippers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Uigaese Keyser. For the game, Keyser went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 41st home run of the season gave Tafuna a 4-2 lead.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Keyser said after the game.
