Papeete second baseman Rodney Ve'ehala had a day to remember today, 5-for-5 against the Tafuna Clippers at Black Pearls Ballpark as the Black Pearls picked up a 10-2 victory.

"He was patient up there today," Papeete skipper Martin Abresch told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Ve'ehala has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

Rodney Ve'ehala singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Phil Rabici in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off David Lemaire in the 8th.

A look at his season totals shows Ve'ehala with 25 home runs, .285 BA, .355 OBP, 67 RBIs and 66 runs scored.
