Wigmen Slip Past Honiara, 7-6

The Honiara Dragons got a superb performance from third baseman David Gaudin, but the Port Moresby Wigmen still won the game, 7-6. Gaudin was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Port Moresby reliever Ravuama Fuli was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Huihahau Leilani. The victory gives Port Moresby a record of 55-48.
The Wigmen procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Sikai Anderson. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning 2-run home run.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Anderson.
