Lae got a valiant performance from pitcher Gwendal Leroy, but it wasn't enough to beat the Nadi Bati. Nadi won the game, 3-2. Leroy threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Nadi reliever Edward Rouhana picked up the win, upping his record to 4-7. David Smith shouldered the loss. Nadi is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Alistair Buka was the walk-off hero for Nadi. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bati second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"On the outside I was calm," said Bati manager Stacy Shaikin. "But inside I was a nervous wreck."
