Avarua designated hitter Jonathan Lameko contributed to his team's 10-3 win over the Suva Red Sox. Lameko, who is tied for 3rd in the PL with a .660 slugging percentage, went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Kiore. Avarua, now 4-9, is off to a slow start.

With Avarua leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Lameko hit a curveball from Clement Laurent for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Kiore ahead, 7-0.

"We came out aggressive," said Kiore manager Liam Maroney. "We came out swinging the bats."
