The baton was passed from the legendary Ben Brinley to Solomon Islands fireballer Griff Ausuta after the latter registered strikeout number 116 at Solomon Islands Grounds today. The crowd knew it was history in the making. They gave Griff Ausuta a thunderous standing ovation that last several minutes. The fans' adoration finally subsided after multiple curtain calls and the game continued. Still glowing after the game, the new record holder said, "I still love it when the ump pumps that right arm and calls strike three. I'll never get tired of that." |
