Haumani Terrific, Takes ML Hitter of the Year Award Tuesday, October 27th , 2065 At the age of 26, Rainui Haumani of the Lae Kumuls could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2065 was good enough to win the third baseman the Melanesia League Hitter of the Year Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .333 batting average this year, as well as a .381 on-base percentage. He played 107 games and racked up 142 hits, 33 doubles, 6 triples, 22 home runs, 50 RBIs and 68 runs scored. George Rasolea of the Port Moresby Wigmen finished second in voting, while Sebastien Hoarau of the Lae Kumuls finished third. |
