Truong Hits 2 home runs in Rays Win
|
Tin Truong was a major contributor to the 6-4 Honolulu win over Louisville. The Rays first baseman hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Sancho Calivillo sewed up the save, his 18th. With the win, Honolulu raised its record to 71-51.
Truong contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Honolulu in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Truong took a changeup from Chris Nichols and stroked the home run to right. His 41st home run of the season allowed the Rays to leap in front, 3-1.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Truong.
