The Orlando Oracles got a superb performance from pitcher Kieran Morris. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Houston. The Colt .45s won the game, 5-3. Morris threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Earning his 37th save of the year was Jon Gregory. Houston improves to 82-51 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
Houston needed the clutch hitting of Michael Trusty to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Colt .45s on top, 5-1. For the game, Trusty had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Trusty said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
