The Kinuso Blues topped the Louisville Redbirds, 5-2, with first baseman John Heller playing a big role. Heller was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Blues in the win. Rich Parsons got the win, improving to 11-11. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 0. Ken Brett earned the save for Kinuso, his 19th of the year.
Heller had a key at-bat for Kinuso early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 41st home run of the season and gave Kinuso an early 3-0 lead.
Heller called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
The win puts the Blues at 72-68, while the Redbirds drop to 53-87.
