Chase Deals Hollywood 2-1 Setback
|
Louisville Redbirds starter Henry Chase turned in an exceptional performance against the Hollywood Stars at Hollywood Grounds, resulting in a Louisville win, 2-1. Melvin Hudson finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Redbirds, with just their 4th win so far in 1972, have yet to catch fire.
Chase overpowered the Stars. The Louisville right-hander allowed 3 hits over 8 innings, while recording 11 punchouts. With the win, he is 2-2 on the season.
"I had a good game plan," said Chase. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Adrian Shaffer said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
