Peña Buzzsaws Iron City Bats in 2-1 Win
|
The Seattle Rainiers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Pedro Peña, who stifled the Iron City offense en route to a 2-1 Rainiers win at Rainiers Stadium. The save went to Xavier Reece, number 10 for him. The Rainiers, now 97-56, have won 5 in a row.
Peña tossed 129 pitches over 7 innings to clinch the win for the Rainiers. The left-hander allowed just 3 hits, while racking up 13 strikeouts in the game.
"Pedro did a tremendous job," said Seattle manager Matt Shepherd.
