Sea Unicorns Win, 5-2, at Chi-town
|
The Carolina Sea Unicorns picked up a win at Coalition Field, knocking off the Chi-town Coalition, 5-2. On the mound for Carolina was left-hander Mattias Petraeus, who played a pivotal role in the win. Gary Bell earned the save, his 1st. With the win, Carolina improves its record to 1-7.
With Carolina leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Petraeus came up to bat against Chi-town pitcher Barry Henry. Petraeus hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Sea Unicorns on top, 5-0.
"Mattias just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Carolina manager Ángelo Vargas.
