Hellions Best Trappers in Pitching Duel
|
The Harlem Hellions went home winners at Hell, thanks in large part to starter Morgan Rebholz. Rebholz stifled the Edmonton Trappers, enabling Harlem to grab the 2-1 win. In 7 innings, Rebholz surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Red Roberts locked down his 1st save.
Had José Gálvez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Gálvez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Hellions.
Gálvez expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
Harlem has now won 4 straight.
