Meatballs Improve to 34-18 with 5-3 Win
Good production from third baseman Larry Richardson helped the San Francisco Meatballs topple the California Seals, 5-3. Richardson was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Meatballs. Armando Martínez closed it out for his 15th save. With the victory, the Meatballs upped their record to 34-18.

Masazumi Chikafuji's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for San Francisco. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 2nd and San Francisco trailing 3-1, the pitcher hit a run-scoring single.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Chikafuji said. "And the same is true when you lose."
