San Francisco Meatballs starter Tom Pesky turned in a top-notch performance against the Ottawa Knights at Round Table Stadium. The result was a win for the Meatballs, 3-1. Pesky got the win, improving to 7-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Pesky allowed 1 run. Ottawa has now lost 6 consecutive games.

John Bell, the 28-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Bell contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put San Francisco up, 1-0.
