Fading Knights Lose 9th Straight
It was pandemonium at Pioneer Ballpark after an exciting walk-off win.

The Redwood Pioneers picked up a win at Pioneer Ballpark, knocking off the Ottawa Knights, 5-4. Starting pitcher Robby Woodrow played a key role in the triumph. Redwood reliever Chandler Davis was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Ricardo Padilla.

The Pioneers were down to their last out in the bottom of the eighth when left fielder Howard York turned a first pitch cutter from Ricardo Padilla into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Redwood a thrilling 5-4 win.

"We're in a funk right now," said Ottawa skipper Román Martínez.

The Knights, now 22-37, have lost 9 in a row.
