The Atlantic City Aces beat the Redwood Pioneers, 5-2. Atlantic City pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Enrique Heredia led the way. Heredia, now 3-6, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. J.R. Richard converted his 1st save in 2 tries.
The Aces got a big at-bat from right fielder Chris Martin. For the game, Martin was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Atlantic City a 2-1 lead.
