Britt Homers Twice in 12-5 Blue Jays Win
Toronto catcher Danny Britt contributed to his team's 12-5 win over the Ottawa Knights. Britt, who finished 4th in the CL in runs with 97 in 1966, went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Blue Jays. Toronto starter Pedro Martínez was credited with the win after throwing 115 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 8-4. Ottawa has now lost 4 in a row.

The Ottawa Knights had some chances. With Ottawa trailing 12-3 in the bottom of the 8th, Vicente Gutiérrez hit a 2-run single. But it was too little too late for the Knights. Ottawa manager Román Martínez said afterward that his team would learn from this latest defeat.
