Redbirds Win Thriller, 5-4
The Louisville Redbirds did just enough to sneak past the Seattle Rainiers, 5-4, at Louisville Slugger Field. Louisville pitcher Roger Nance, in particular, had a standout performance. The Redbirds sport a record of 13-20.

Alan Sims was the walk-off hero for Louisville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Redbirds second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Nance.
