Royals Get Past Stockton for 3-2 Win
The Stockton 209 got a superb performance from pitcher Millard Olson, but the Montreal Royals still won the game, 3-2. Olson threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Montreal now has a record of 20-11.

Montreal used the timely hitting of Javier García to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

García said his team "played with determination."
