Stockton 209 starter Millard Olson hurled his team past the Honolulu Rays, 3-1. Olson, now 3-4, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 10, walking 5, and allowing 1 run. Hidetada Kitakawa earned save number 6 this season.

Stockton used a well-timed hit by Cam Carreon to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the 209 ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Enjoyed this one," Carreon told the Stockton Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The win lifted the Stockton record to 22-19.
