Redbirds Stymie Hollywood, Take 3-1 Win
|
Louisville starter Chris Nichols pitched well against the Hollywood Stars at Louisville Slugger Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Bert Blyleven earned the save, his 1st. The Stars, now 15-33, have lost 4 straight.
Reggie Jackson took Art Mahaffey deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Redbirds on top, 3-0. In all, Jackson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Chris was throwing free and easy," said Louisville manager Adrian Shaffer.
