A 3-RBI performance from Ken Steele, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1970 draft, helped the Hollywood Stars beat the Orlando Oracles, 5-4. Joël Garcia, now 4-4, was credited with the win. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Rich McMahon finished the game for Hollywood and earned his 5th save.

Hollywood used the timely hitting of Tim McCarver to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stars on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Steele said after the game.

The win puts Hollywood at 19-34.
