Colt .45s Win at Seattle, 4-1
|
Spirited fans greeted the Seattle Rainiers for their clash with the Houston Colt .45s.
Houston picked up a win at Rainiers Stadium, toppling the Seattle Rainiers, 4-1. Pitcher Chris Moore was one of the reasons the Colt .45s triumphed. The save was credited to Jon Gregory, his 17th.
With Houston leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Moore hit a curveball from Mike Nixon for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Colt .45s ahead, 4-0.
"Bottom line," said Seattle skipper Matt Shepherd, "we didn't play well enough to win."
Houston has a 5-game win streak, while Seattle has lost 3 in a row.
