Even as a kid, Christian Johnston said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Rail Hawks Ballpark today, Johnston showed how well he learned that lesson.

The 21-year-old catcher had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the London Mets, helping his team knock off the Susquehanna Trails Scarlets by a score of 17-6.

"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today."

Christian Johnston singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Ken Henderson in the 8th.
