London Mets starter Miguel García really did a number on the Brooklyn Superbas today, shutting them out 8-0 on 4 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 11 strikeouts.

"We didn't have good at-bats," said Brooklyn manager Lefty Sunkel. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to García."

So far this year García has compiled a 7-0 record with a 1.54 ERA.
