Hellions Solve Pioneers, 6-4
|
The Harlem Hellions topped the Redwood Pioneers by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to pinch hitter Doug Wright. Wright went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Hellions on the day. Jerry Hinsley collected his 17th save. Harlem occupies 9th place in the Canis Division at 45-55.
Harlem took a 6-1 lead on Wright's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Alberto Gonzáles in the top of the eighth, propelled Harlem to the win.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Wright.
