Sea Unicorns Pick Up 6-1 Win
|
Carolina picked up a win at Sea Unicorns Ballpark, bumping off the Ottawa Knights, 6-1. Pitcher Mattias Petraeus was a major reason the Sea Unicorns emerged victorious. Petraeus picked up the win for Carolina, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-10. Getting the save was Oscar O'Quinn, his 1st.
The Sea Unicorns got a big at-bat from second baseman Donald Carney. For the game, Carney was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season gave Carolina a 2-1 lead.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Ottawa manager Román Martínez.
The Sea Unicorns improve their record to 40-73 with the win over Ottawa.
