Starting pitcher Steve D Barber pitched well enough to help the San Francisco Meatballs beat the Ottawa Knights, 6-3. Armando Martínez recorded the save for San Francisco, his 34th of the season.

San Francisco relied on the hitting of Larry Richardson to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Meatballs on top, 3-0. For the game, Richardson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We had a good game plan," Barber said, "and we were able to execute it."
