Knights Lose Again, 4-0, to Pioneers
|
Right-hander Kanko Fukuda mesmerized the Ottawa Knights while leading the Redwood Pioneers to a 4-0 victory. Redwood reliever Kanko Fukuda got the win, raising his record to 9-4. Jesús Barrera was tagged with the loss. Redwood has now won 4 straight.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Pioneers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when pitcher Pedro Castillo hit a 2-run single. The single came off Jesús Barrera and made the score 2-0, Pioneers. Castillo threw 3.0 innings of shutout ball.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Castillo.
