Toronto beat Chi-town on the strength of starter Pedro Martínez's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 9-3. The win gives Toronto a season record of 76-54.

Toronto relied on the hitting of Danny Britt to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 4-0. For the game, Britt had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
