Bombers Rough Up Hellions, 8-3
|
Bronx third baseman Harrison Fluellen played a vital role in his team's 8-3 triumph over Harlem. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for Bronx. Nick Brown, the winning pitcher, improved to 14-9. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. After today's action, Bronx sits at 69-71; Harlem slips to 64-76.
Bronx took a 8-2 lead on Fluellen's 15th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Bill Buck in the top of the sixth, propelled Bronx to the win.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Fluellen.
