Glendenning Hurls No-Hitter
Excitement reigned at Coalition Field today as Harlem Hellions hurler Ernest Glendenning tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter.

After defeating the Chi-town Coalition, 5-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments.

"I'm just glad to be here," Glendenning said. "Today I just went right at the Coalition as hard as I could, as long as I could."

Glendenning chalked up 17 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks in his superb performance.

"I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said Harlem manager Elmer Franks.

To date this season Glendenning is 12-5 with 30 starts and an ERA of 3.31 with 303 strikeouts in 179.1 innings.
