Meza Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
At Ballpark of Winthrop today, Bo Meza of the Hamilton Hurricanes put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and mauled the Allentown Admirals pitching staff, but Hamilton still came up short on the scoreboard.

The Hurricanes went home with the 6-5 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their first baseman.

"Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Meza said in the postgame interview.

Bo Meza singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Melvin Ray in the 9th.

In 1972 Meza has hit at a .360 clip with 99 hits, 20 home runs, 47 RBIs and has scored 55 times.
