Lee Sparkles in 2-0 Shutout

In an excellent mound performance, Bill Lee of the Edmonton Cubs blanked the Asheville Tourists 2-0 on a 4-hitter.
"I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game.
In all, the Edmonton hurler rang up 6 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout win.
"We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Tourists manager Daniel Alves. "Lee did a good job keeping us guessing."
His record this year is 3-6 in 13 starts and Lee has a 5.49 ERA.

García Pounds 3 HR

Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Salvador García discovered that today at Electric Eels Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 10-8 Shelby Reds win over the Town and Country Electric Eels.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Shelby left fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
García finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats and 5 RBIs.
Salvador García hit a solo-shot off José Bonilla in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off José Bonilla in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Mauro López in the 9th.
This year García has hit at a .301 clip with 55 RBIs, 24 home runs and 41 runs scored.
