Stockton rode a decent outing from starter Rich Jenkins to victory over the Iron City Eddies. The final score was 6-4. Jenkins, the winner, moves to 8-4. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. Bill Thomas closed the door for Stockton, picking up his 4th save of the year.

The 209 got a big at-bat from right fielder Roberto Hernández. For the game, Hernández went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season gave Stockton a 3-1 lead.

"I still think this team can play even better," Jenkins told the Stockton Chronicle.
