A 3-RBI performance from second baseman César Muñóz, who led the CL in doubles with 49 in 1962, led the Kinuso Blues to a win over the St. Louis Terriers, 13-6. Ken Brett earned the save for Kinuso, his 12th of the year. Today's win puts Kinuso at 39-46, while St. Louis falls to 43-42.

Kinuso relied on the bat of Thurman Munson to get the win. The catcher ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the first inning to put the Blues ahead, 2-0. For the game, Munson had 1 double and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Munson. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
