The Stockton 209 beat the St. Louis Terriers, 5-1, at Terrier Park. Starting pitcher Brant Kelly was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Kelly went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 7-6. The win gives Stockton a season record of 53-41.

Stockton used the timely hitting of Toyotomi Matsumoto to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the 209 on top, 5-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Kelly attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
