It wasn't easy but Jim Nash made it look that way.

Nash silenced the Montreal Royals, 6-0, in a Stockton 209 triumph at Stockton Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Nash said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 3 hits.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."

Thus far this season, Nash has worked 166.1 innings with 164 strikeouts en route to a 11-6 record and a 2.33 ERA.
