Holland Brilliant -- Fires No-Hitter
|
It was a fantastic day for Halifax Explosions starter Bill Holland and a lousy day for the Richmond Greyhounds.
The Halifax hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Greyhounds, as the Explosions cruised to a 4-0 win. When it was all over, Holland was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.
"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Holland said later.
He rang up 13 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk while shutting Richmond down at Explosions Field.
In 22 starts this year Holland has crafted a 14-5 record and a 2.16 ERA.
