Seals Torpedoed by Martínez in 1-0 Loss to Toronto Sunday, May 14th , 1972 It wasn't easy but Pedro Martínez made it look that way. Martínez silenced the California Seals, 1-0, in a Toronto Blue Jays triumph at SkyDome today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Martínez said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said.
