16-K Masterpiece for Burns Thursday, July 20th , 1972 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Reginald Burns, the Honolulu Rays topped the Hollywood Stars today by a score of 3-2 at Honolulu Grounds. The 20-year-old Burns brought his top game to the mound, striking out 16 batters while allowing 4 hits and giving up 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Stars manager Buddy Davis said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
