Great Month Gets UL Top Rookie Trophy Tuesday, August 1st , 1972 Last month Eric Stokes bullied and bewildered the Ursa League hitters and chalked up 3 victories. In addition Honolulu hurler also copped the league's Rookie of the Month honors. In July the 22-year-old Stokes recorded a 3-0 won-lost mark with a 1.91 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 42.1 innings. This year Stokes has worked 62 innings with 88 strikeouts en route to a 3-1 record and a 2.32 ERA. |
