5-Hit Game for Tovar Tuesday, August 1st , 1972 It was nearly a perfect day for Cesar Tovar at Hell. Although the Harlem Hellions center fielder was sensational at the plate, collecting 5 base hits in 5 at-bats, it just wasn't enough to keep the Hellions from falling to the Edmonton Trappers. Edmonton spoiled his great day at the plate by taking a 6-4 win. Cesar Tovar singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Rory Dayman in the 9th.
