Schroeder Records Shutout Against Tourists
Sunday, September 3rd , 1972
Keith Schroeder dominated the Asheville Tourists with a brilliant 7-hit shutout in a Ottawa-Nepean Canadians 4-0 triumph at Rolling Rock Park. The Ottawa-Nepean hurler fanned 9 and walked 1 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.

"He really kept us in check today," Tourists skipper Daniel Alves said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."

In 26 starts this season, Schroeder has picked up 9 wins while suffering 11 losses. He has pitched 185.2 innings, allowed 195 hits, struck out 113 and posted a 4.51 ERA.
