Playoffs? No Chance for Flatland
Friday, August 11th , 1972
Dale Brown said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Flatland Sturgeons after they missed the PUB Single A playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today.
The Sturgeons have missed the playoffs 36 times in their 38 years as a PUB Single A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 12th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1960.
