Wright Records Shutout Against Mariners Monday, August 14th , 1972 Ron Wright spun his magic in a 10-0 shutout victory at Spruce Ballpark today, leading the Spruce Grove Eagles to victory, 10-0 over the Cape May Mariners. The Spruce Grove pitcher put quite a spell on Cape May in a strong performance, allowing 3 hits while totaling no walks and 8 strikeouts. "I had a lot of good things working in this one," Wright said. "I worked both sides of the plate. I was rarely behind in the count." This year Wright has a 5-2 record and a 2.77 ERA. |
