Malone Hurls 7-0 Shutout Sunday, August 20th , 1972 Motley Crue pitcher John Malone really got it done at Motley Crue Field today in his 7-0 shutout victory over the Bethesda Gamers, shutting them down on 4 hits. "It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Malone said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them." The 22-year-old issued no walks and had 10 strikeouts in the Crue win. To date this season Malone is 8-6 with 17 starts and an ERA of 5.46 with 123 strikeouts in 123.2 innings. |
